This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Convert source data into a format suitable for monthly billing, revenue recognition, and forecasting.
• Sync Employee Benefits/Partner business forecast enrollment figures with actual customer enrollment data and Revenue Accounting enrollment counts for GAAP compliance.
• Take ownership of the billing engine's continuous performance through regular quality assurance of Python/SQL logic, monitoring discrepancies, and troubleshooting production issues.
• Identify and rectify billing engine code errors to minimize disruption to partner invoicing and downstream revenue reporting.
• Create and implement invoicing logic and billing procedures for new contract structures, diverse partner types, and changing business needs.
• Support ad hoc projects and system integrations as a subject matter expert for the Partner Revenue Operations team.
• Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders on the revenue processes for Aura’s growing partner channel.
• Guarantee precise partner billing, analytics, and reporting.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in data analytics.
• Expertise in SQL and Python; skilled in querying and manipulating extensive datasets efficiently.
• Familiarity with Databricks.
• Experience in developing data logic and pipelines.
• Capability to translate business and contract requirements into technical logic.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including the use of pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis techniques.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Solid financial knowledge, encompassing understanding of financial statements, basic accounting principles, and tax considerations.
• Keen attention to detail and proficient problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience with billing processes and system integrations or implementations.
• Understanding of revenue recognition, invoicing, and reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara, or similar sales tax engines.
