Revenue Cycle Management Specialist – AR Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Execute claims processing for both paper and electronic formats.

• Evaluate and manage claims that have been rejected by the clearinghouse.

• Oversee and follow up on claims returned by clients.

• Handle payment processing, including daily reconciliation and posting of manual/electronic payments.

• Oversee collections and follow up on accounts receivable.

• Navigate insurance websites while ensuring access maintains security.

• Assess provider participation status.

• Process patient statements efficiently.

• Handle refunds, small balance adjustments, and bad debt corrections.

• Manage claim denials and resubmit denied Medicare Part A claims via the NGS Fiscal Intermediary Shared System.

• Submit and track eClinicalWorks and CCNV IT support requests.

• Relay account-related issues to clients and team leaders.

• Address inquiries from the team and clients promptly and thoroughly.

• Conduct patient phone communications and manage interpretive services.

• Engage in ongoing education and participate in internal training sessions.

• Complete special projects as assigned.

• Review and follow up on accounts receivable management reports and departmental goals/KPIs.

• Monitor common claim processing issues, denials, and departmental goals/KPIs.

• Reassign responsibilities during absences in collaboration with the client/team lead supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in insurance reimbursement, account collections, coding, and medical terminology.

• Considerable experience in executing and managing billing services for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

• Advanced proficiency in eClinicalWorks (eCW).

• Competency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Access to suitable and secure technology, including secure Wi-Fi, phone, and dedicated workspace.

• Must be present and visible in meetings through video conferencing.
