Accounts Receivable Accountant – E-commerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Maintain and evaluate customer invoices and credit notes

• Conduct account matching and reconcile customer accounts

• Log and oversee payment transactions

• Detect and manage unapplied cash receipts

• Reconcile billing with cash receipts

• Investigate discrepancies and implement necessary corrections

• Engage in monthly and year-end closing activities

• Compile supporting documents for account reconciliations and audits

• Assess sales flows from Amazon, TikTok Shop, Cdiscount, the Group’s e-commerce platforms, and additional marketplaces

• Align marketplace data with internal records and SAP

• Evaluate payments, refunds, cancellations, credit notes, commissions, and fees

• Spot discrepancies between actual revenue and amounts submitted

• Investigate and resolve anomalies

• Assist in enhancing and automating controls

• Collaborate with Finance, E-commerce, Sales Administration, Customer Service, Treasury, and IT/Data teams

• Utilize SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Zendesk for accounting oversight, controls, analysis, and collaboration

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree or diploma in accounting or finance (two to three years of post-secondary education or equivalent)

• Preferably some experience in accounts receivable

• Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential

• Strong familiarity with IT tools is required

• Detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and self-motivated

• Comfortable handling numbers and using IT tools

• Capable of identifying and clarifying discrepancies

• Able to work in an environment where data originates from various systems

• Strong team-oriented attitude and excellent interpersonal skills

• Experience or a solid understanding of e-commerce, marketplaces, online payment processes, payment service providers, SAP FI, or a multi-entity environment is advantageous

• Knowledge of pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and Power Query is a plus

• Proficiency in professional English is an advantage
