
Revenue Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take responsibility for the complete monthly revenue close process, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue, estimates, and management reporting.
• Assess both existing and new revenue streams in accordance with ASC 606 and create technical accounting memoranda.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, encompassing general ledger activities, accruals, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Examine accounting activities to ensure completeness, accuracy, classification, and adherence to U.S. GAAP standards.
• Analyze customer terms, product modifications, promotions, refunds, credits, and other agreements for their accounting implications.
• Establish and uphold revenue-recognition policies, controls, schedules, and documentation across various legal entities and product lines.
• Reconcile transaction-level source data with payment platforms, operational systems, the general ledger, and financial reporting outputs.
• Collaborate with Product, Legal, Data, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure accounting readiness for new offerings.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation to enhance completeness, accuracy, traceability, and speed of the closing process.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reporting, external audits, and internal control testing.
• Investigate discrepancies and data issues, identify root causes, and facilitate sustainable solutions.
• Ensure that revenue is recorded accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner.
• Complete assigned closing activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks precisely and punctually.
• Document conclusions related to ASC 606 and evaluate new offerings prior to their launch.
• Enhance traceability from source transactions to the general ledger while minimizing manual work and recurring closing issues.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• A minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including direct responsibility for revenue recognition, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, with the ability to analyze nonstandard arrangements.
• Experience handling high-volume transactional data and reconciling information across various systems.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, with the capability to articulate complex accounting concepts clearly.
• Exceptional attention to detail, judgment, organizational skills, and follow-through in a rapidly changing environment.
• CPA certification or active CPA candidacy is preferred.
• Experience in public accounting or supporting financial statement audits is preferred.
• Background in fintech, payments, subscription services, marketplaces, gaming, or other transaction-intensive industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, SQL, business intelligence tools, or revenue automation platforms is preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities or product lines is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours to facilitate collaboration across various time zones, including the U.S., if necessary.
• Work authorization and visa sponsorship status must be disclosed during the application process.
• Professional experience at a proprietary trading firm will be inquired about during the application process.
