This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Evaluate customer contracts and establish the appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606.

• Develop technical accounting memorandums that support revenue-related conclusions.

• Carry out month-end closing procedures, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.

• Assist with the accounting for contract assets, deferred revenue, and contract liabilities.

• Collaborate across departments to address issues that may impact revenue.

• Aid in the accounting and reconciliations for Merchant of Record.

• Lead initiatives for process enhancements and bolster internal controls.

• Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on revenue accounting.

• Comprehensive understanding of ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP revenue recognition standards.

• Proven experience in reviewing customer contracts and documenting accounting conclusions for complex revenue arrangements.

• Significant experience in supporting audits in public accounting and/or corporate accounting settings; a robust audit background is essential.

• Proficiency in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, month-end closing deliverables, and supporting documentation.

• Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to analyze and reconcile extensive datasets.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MS, NE, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV.
