Retirement Plan Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Conduct education and enrollment presentations both on-site and virtually for new and existing participants of defined contribution plans such as 401(k), 403(b), and/or Government 457.

• Create and implement communication and educational strategies through group meetings, avoiding one-on-one sessions.

• Encourage participant actions, including enrollment in plans, increasing deferrals, and rolling over assets from previous plans.

• Attain business objectives and facilitate meaningful discussions while adhering to service level agreements.

• Fulfill reporting obligations by documenting meetings, attendees, and outcomes in the relevant systems.

• Cultivate relationships with essential contacts, plan sponsor representatives, and internal stakeholders.

• Organize meeting schedules, including travel arrangements.

• Provide insights to local relationship managers regarding communication materials and strategies.

• Join client meetings alongside other service team members.

• Contribute to final presentations for new prospects as required by the territory's needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience will be considered in place of a degree.

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector.

• Excellent presentation skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• Strong abilities in relationship building and territory management.

• Required to obtain FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 registrations within specified timelines.

• FINRA fingerprinting is mandatory.

• Capability to perform calculations involving interest, proportions, percentages, and fractions.

• A strategic thinker capable of working independently.

• Applicants must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available, including CPT/OPT.

• Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.

• Previous experience in providing high-level, consultative client interactions is preferred.

• Basic understanding of defined contribution plans is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
