This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee the daily operations of Jefferson's retirement plans.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, training, support, and guidance to members of the retirement team.
• Set team expectations and objectives while addressing escalated benefit concerns.
• Ensure compliance and effectiveness of defined benefit, defined contribution, and 457(b) plans.
• Create communication strategies with internal and external partners to enhance employee experience.
• Act as a subject matter expert and primary contact for escalated inquiries regarding retirement benefits.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to retirement benefits in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Interpret and communicate plan provisions through plan documents and summary plan descriptions.
• Manage retirement benefit vendors and outsourced benefit programs.
• Assist in the implementation and administration of new retirement benefit programs.
• Oversee ongoing retirement benefits operations and proactively resolve issues.
• Monitor national retirement program trends and ensure the accuracy of retirement benefits data in HRIS.
• Collaborate with payroll and Human Resources teams.
• Research retirement benefit issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
• Provide strategic leadership, knowledge sharing, and process documentation for the Retirement Team.
• Work alongside the AVP of Retirement on retirement strategy.
• Align retirement plans with the enterprise's strategic and business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and program enhancements.
• Utilize technology to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in Retirement Benefits Management and Administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Experience with an enterprise human capital management system.
• Skilled in process management.
• Ability to actively listen, communicate clearly and empathetically, take responsibility, adapt, and maintain self-control under pressure.
• Working knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee retirement benefits programs, including ERISA, Social Security, and DOL mandates.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs; frequent sitting/standing and keyboard use required.
• Master’s Degree in human resources, business, or a related field is preferred.
• PHR, CP, or CEBS certifications are preferred.
• Monday–Friday work schedule.
