This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at healthcare provider locations.
• Travel to healthcare provider locations and patients' residences for arranged eye exam appointments.
• Utilize company-issued retinal imaging technology.
• Assist in addressing eye exam and associated quality gaps.
• Complete company-sponsored training prior to performing exams independently.
• Maintain proficiency through continuous training as required.
• Oversee a daily schedule for eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments with both practices and patients ahead of time.
• Coordinate travel arrangements.
• Foster and sustain relationships with colleagues, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Engage with team members and stakeholders virtually on non-appointment days.
• Contribute to quality enhancement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success initiatives.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Willingness and capacity to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices.
• Must be a local resident in the Houston, TX area.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality metrics, medical billing, or coding.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with management, co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Desired: Certified or licensed healthcare professional credentials, such as CMA or LPN.
