This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct scheduled diabetic eye examinations and retinal screenings for members at provider locations.
• Travel to provider sites and patient residences for pre-arranged eye examination appointments.
• Utilize company-supplied retinal imaging tools and assist in closing eye exam and related quality gaps.
• Complete the training provided by the company on retinal imaging technology and eye examination protocols prior to conducting exams independently.
• Maintain your skills through continuous training as required.
• Oversee a daily schedule of eye exam appointments.
• Confirm appointments in advance with both practices and patients.
• Organize travel arrangements.
• Engage virtually with team members, internal partners, clients, providers, payers, and care teams on days without appointments.
• Foster and uphold strong professional relationships with colleagues, clients, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Carry out additional responsibilities that support quality enhancement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success.
• Willingness and capability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices.
• Must reside locally in the Houston, TX area.
• No prior experience in eye examinations or imaging is necessary; comprehensive training and equipment are provided.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.
• An associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, quality metrics, medical billing, or coding.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and various healthcare-related systems or applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Capacity to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with management, colleagues, clients, providers, payers, and care teams.
• Proficient in working independently in a remote setting.
• Ability to safeguard PHI, PII, and Guidehealth intellectual property.
• Internet connection suitable for video calls and internal/external systems, with a minimum of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
• Certification or licensure as a healthcare professional, such as CMA or LPN, is preferred.
• Travel time is compensated.
