Retail Project Manager, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee designated security projects from initial planning to execution and final closure.

• Ensure projects are profitable, delivered on schedule, meet quality standards, and achieve customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate with pre-sales, installation, supply, and client stakeholders.

• Create project charters, plans, milestones, deliverables, team roles, and criteria for success.

• Ensure alignment of scope, design, and budget with the pre-sales team.

• Identify risks, dependencies, and constraints, and outline mitigation and recovery strategies.

• Facilitate customer kick-off meetings and transfer completed designs and documentation to installation and coordination teams.

• Maintain internal and customer-facing trackers, progress reports, and scheduling updates.

• Manage site readiness, permit acquisition, supply challenges, and various dependencies.

• Supervise changes requested by customers and communicate their impacts on schedule, budget, and resources.

• Finalize documentation, secure customer approvals, archive records, and handle surplus equipment returns.

• Address issues that arise with customers, installers, and internal teams.

• Coordinate pre-sales, installation, documentation, and client communications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, construction supervision, or field leadership.

• Ideally, experience in security, low-voltage systems, life safety, installation, or technical deployment settings.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget while ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Experience in developing project plans, managing risks and dependencies, and leading cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in project management tools, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and budgeting or cost-tracking methodologies.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to make timely decisions, handle competing priorities, adapt to change, and lead cross-functional teams efficiently.

• Proficiency in English is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.

• A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with MS Project, Asana, Trello, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Teams, SAP, Oracle, or Monday.com is advantageous.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, PDF editors, and retail loss prevention systems such as RFID, Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), video surveillance, and inventory management systems is beneficial.

• Spanish or French language skills are a plus.
