This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Observe retail demand signals and the health of catalogs to pinpoint gaps in availability, rights, pricing, metadata, or content files.
• Create and maintain dashboards and workflows that track products entering and exiting retail catalogs.
• Highlight issues that affect visibility, availability, or customer experience.
• Identify and rectify metadata issues impacting product discoverability, feed delivery, and search placement across Google and retail partners.
• Enhance metadata to boost onsite search and SEO performance.
• Collaborate with publishers, providers, and internal teams to obtain necessary rights, pricing, or content.
• Compose and distribute targeted communications to publishers and partners regarding catalog gaps, metadata corrections, and content requirements.
• Work alongside Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to enhance catalog quality and operational efficiency.
• Develop scalable cataloging standards, monitoring processes, and best practices for metadata.
• Gain familiarity with data and inventory flows throughout the product landscape.
• Investigate competitive pricing and identify coverage gaps as well as new opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and present emerging insights and competitive intelligence.
• Analyze catalog data to quantify sales opportunities, including patterns for cross-selling and upselling.
• 2–4 years of experience in catalog operations, ecommerce, publishing, or a related field.
• Experience working with metadata, ecommerce catalogs, publishing systems, or retail product data.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting tools (e.g., Looker).
• Strong attention to detail; capable of identifying patterns and inconsistencies across large datasets.
• Exceptional written communication skills, particularly for outreach to external partners.
• Ability to balance operational execution with process improvement and proactive problem-solving.
• Curiosity and a willingness to utilize AI tools as relevant for the role.
• Proven ability to learn and adapt to current tools is strongly preferred.
• BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of SEO and related tools.
• Familiarity with Claude or other AI tools.
• Understanding of ONIX, publishing metadata, retail feeds, or digital content ecosystems.
• Experience with Salesforce.
• Background in higher education or edtech.
