Respiratory Therapist – Sleep Therapy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive clinical, technical, and administrative operations of the PAP Therapy program at the designated location.

• Install and configure CPAP, AutoPAP, and BiPAP respiratory therapy equipment.

• Provide patients with necessary supplies and products.

• Conduct continuous assessments of patients and their equipment.

• Reach out to patients to arrange equipment setups and communicate the benefits of PAP therapy as well as the risks associated with sleep apnea.

• Collaborate clinically with physicians, referral contacts, healthcare practitioners, and other participants in patient care.

• Maintain accurate records, including charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, and preventive maintenance documentation.

• Update demographic information as changes occur.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory rules and guidelines for the respiratory therapist staff.

• Train and orient new or subordinate respiratory therapist staff and service technicians.

• Adhere to policies and procedures aimed at cost containment.

• Work with office staff to guarantee timely and precise billing and service documentation.

• Provide necessary information to third-party payors for coverage purposes.

• Collaborate with clinical, managerial, and sales teams to promote home respiratory therapy services to referral sources.

• Ensure safe and accurate operation of equipment prior to installation.

• Be available for patient contact and responsive to patient needs.

• Work together with other respiratory therapists, PCCs, and various departments to accomplish tasks.

• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• RT License is mandatory.

• High-speed internet is required.

• Availability for patient contact and responsiveness to patient needs is essential.

• Must be able to work Monday through Friday during standard business hours, starting at 8:00 a.m.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
