This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Accept referrals and manage a caseload of clients.

• Provide individual counseling to clients or facilitate family therapy sessions.

• Initiate internal referrals to Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) if there is minimal improvement within 8 weeks of outpatient therapy.

• Assist clients in developing skills and strategies to address challenges.

• Create and execute treatment plans informed by clinical expertise and knowledge.

• Set SMART goals in collaboration with patients.

• Formulate treatment plans within 72 hours of intake and review or adjust them every 4 weeks.

• Complete and manage client documentation, including diagnostic records and progress notes.

• Develop progress notes within 48 hours following each session.

• Prepare and uphold necessary treatment records and reports.

• Assess clients' physical or mental health status based on collected client information.

• Work with staff on clinical evaluations and treatment plans within 2 days of initiating care.

• Refer clients, patients, or family members to appropriate community resources or specialists when required.

• Keep up-to-date with developments in counseling through professional literature, courses, seminars, and interactions with social service organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's Degree from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a counseling environment.

• An active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in West Virginia is mandatory.

• Preferred: Over 2 years of experience in the healthcare sector, specifically in oncology.

• Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in Telehealth settings.

• A minimum client load of 18 hours per week is required.
