This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +9 more states.
• Distribute resources considering skills, experience levels, availability, timing, and engagement needs.
• Collaborate with practice leaders, job managers, and resource pod leaders to balance workloads and align staffing with client obligations.
• Track capacity, utilization, leverage, scheduled versus actual performance, and forecast accuracy; pinpoint risks, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Address staffing conflicts, urgent resource demands, delays, and workload discrepancies while effectively communicating decisions and schedule adjustments.
• Maintain precise resource plans, schedules, open positions, placeholders, skills inventories, and workforce data across resource management systems.
• Facilitate regular resource alignment meetings focused on supply and demand, staffing choices, cross-utilization, forecasting, and workforce risks.
• Oversee workforce forecasting and capacity planning to determine future demand, skills shortages, staffing needs, and hiring requirements.
• Coordinate staffing activities across pods, onshore, offshore, outsourced, and integration-related efforts to enhance resource deployment.
• Supervise preparation pools and unassigned work queues to guarantee timely staffing and progress on workloads.
• Promote the adoption of workforce planning processes, reporting tools, resource management systems, and strategic workforce planning initiatives.
• Ensure balanced workloads, enhanced utilization and leverage, precise demand forecasts, prompt resolution of staffing risks, and improved visibility into workforce decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Operations, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in Tax resource management, workforce planning, project staffing, operations, or a similar area.
• Proven experience in managing resource allocation, capacity planning, utilization, and workforce forecasting.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to analyze workforce, utilization, and operational performance data.
• Familiarity with workforce management, project management, scheduling, and reporting tools.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders, balance competing priorities, and resolve staffing conflicts.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in professional services, consulting, accounting, tax, audit, or another project-based setting.
• Background in strategic workforce planning, skills inventory management, and capacity modeling.
• Proficiency with ProStaff, Power BI, Workday, Practice Engine, CCH Workflow, or similar workforce and reporting platforms.
• Understanding of utilization, leverage, forecasting, demand planning, and workforce optimization methodologies.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), workforce planning certification, or related credential.
