Residential Remodeling Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Generate quantity takeoffs and comprehensive cost estimates from architectural drawings and specifications.

• Support budgeting and preconstruction planning efforts.

• Manage subcontractor bid requests and pricing negotiations.

• Evaluate drawings, finish schedules, and project documentation.

• Revise estimates and oversee change orders or updates.

• Keep estimating data current within JobTread or similar construction management platforms.

• Assist in developing project scopes and costing.

• Collaborate remotely with project managers and leadership based in the U.S.

• Create precise and systematically organized estimates.

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with the team.

• Deliver work with minimal errors or discrepancies in scope.

• Continuously enhance estimating processes and workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, or preconstruction activities.

• Preferred background in residential remodeling or custom home construction.

• Familiarity with JobTread, Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar construction software.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent organizational abilities.

• Capability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications effectively.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• High attention to detail coupled with strong follow-through.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional home office setup.

• Availability to overlap several hours with U.S. business hours.

• Preferred experience in luxury residential or high-end remodeling projects.

• Experience managing change orders is a plus.

• Background in material procurement or purchasing support is preferred.

• Experience in project coordination or as an Assistant Project Manager is advantageous.

• Prior experience working remotely for a U.S.-based construction company is preferred.
