This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Viavi products and solutions at client locations.
β’ Deliver both proactive and reactive technical support, encompassing troubleshooting, fault isolation, and resolution of intricate network issues involving Viavi equipment.
β’ Collaborate with customer teams to gain insights into network architecture, operational processes, and business needs.
β’ Aid in the deployment, configuration, integration, and continuous maintenance of Viavi hardware and software solutions.
β’ Facilitate training sessions and knowledge transfer for customer staff regarding Viavi products and best practices.
β’ Produce regular reports on system performance, health, and utilization, offering actionable insights and recommendations.
β’ Engage in customer planning meetings and contribute technical input on future network developments and Viavi product roadmaps.
β’ Escalate complex issues to Viavi engineering and product management teams, acting as a liaison between the customer and internal departments.
β’ Ensure customer satisfaction through timely, high-quality technical support and the cultivation of strong relationships.
β’ Comply with Viavi and customer security and operational policies and procedures.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in network engineering, operations, or technical support roles.
β’ Preferably possess experience with telecommunications service providers or large enterprises.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF.
β’ Familiarity with Data Center, Core Network, and Access Network architectures.
β’ Extensive hands-on experience with network testing and monitoring tools, particularly Viavi Solutions products like Observer, ONMS, Fusion, and CellAdvisor.
β’ Proficient in analyzing network traffic.
β’ Skilled in interpreting trace files.
β’ Capability to identify performance bottlenecks.
β’ Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal skills.
β’ Ability to interact efficiently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
β’ Willingness to travel occasionally for training or customer-related activities as needed.
β’ Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, or JNCIP are advantageous.
