This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as the on-site or dedicated Databricks Resident Architect, supporting key customer initiatives.

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale enterprise data platforms utilizing Databricks.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to establish data strategies and roadmaps.

• Design and execute scalable data lakehouse architectures.

• Propel data modernization, migration, and cloud transformation projects.

• Set best practices for data engineering, governance, security, and performance enhancement.

• Mentor development teams on data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and contemporary analytics architectures.

• Ensure successful project completion, risk management, and effective communication with stakeholders.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to customer and partner teams.

• Facilitate the adoption of AI/ML, real-time analytics, and advanced data functionalities within Databricks.

• Work with executive leadership to ensure technical solutions align with business goals.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, and modern data platforms.

• More than 10 years in consulting and client-facing roles.

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification (or an equivalent advanced certification) is required.

• Proven experience delivering 6–8+ Databricks implementations with practical development involvement.

• Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Familiarity with various cloud ecosystems.

• Extensive experience with Apache Spark, including concepts of distributed computing and Spark runtime internals.

• Experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for production deployments.

• Solid understanding of MLOps principles, tools, and best practices.

• Up-to-date knowledge of the Databricks platform, its products, and the evolving feature set.

• Demonstrated capability to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability across data workloads and architectures.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capacity to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Experience with AI/ML implementation and MLOps is preferred.

• Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Data Governance, and Data Quality frameworks is preferred.

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is preferred.

• Prior experience in professional services, consulting, or managed service delivery organizations is preferred.
