This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Formulate and implement the Research segment strategy for India that aligns with Illumina's commercial goals.
• Establish strategic collaborations with government bodies, research institutions, academic entities, genome centers, and national research initiatives.
• Propel revenue growth, enhance price realization, optimize instrument usage, and encourage consumables adoption within the research portfolio.
• Identify and cultivate strategic research avenues in national genomics initiatives, population genomics, agriculture, and translational research.
• Broaden geographic presence across metropolitan and Tier 2/3 cities in India.
• Promote the adoption of innovative technologies, including multiomics, through scientific engagement and solution-oriented sales.
• Create collaborative growth plans for key research institutions.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Scientific Affairs on KOL engagement, educational initiatives, workshops, and demand generation efforts.
• Foster relationships with principal investigators, scientific leaders, institutional decision-makers, and funding organizations.
• Oversee strategic opportunity planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Analyze the competitive landscape, funding prospects, and market trends.
• Ensure adherence to Illumina policies and relevant regulatory standards.
• 12+ years of experience in genomics, life sciences, molecular biology, or similar research/commercial positions.
• Demonstrated experience in managing strategic research accounts, government entities, academia, or national research initiatives.
• Strong comprehension of next-generation sequencing, genomics workflows, and emerging multiomics technologies.
• Proven track record in consultative, solution-driven sales and scientific engagement.
• Experience in cultivating long-term collaborations with key opinion leaders, research organizations, and government stakeholders.
• Excellent skills in strategic planning, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership.
• Experience working across diverse geographic areas in India.
• Willingness to undertake extensive travel throughout India.
