This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership, develop, and deliver market intelligence that supports IDC's global CPaaS research and advisory practice.
• Monitor and evaluate industry trends, including network APIs, conversational messaging, developer needs, GenAI, and agentic AI.
• Observe the integration of CPaaS with contact center and UC&C ecosystems.
• Develop models to assess and project the CPaaS market and associated communication services.
• Write both syndicated and custom research reports.
• Provide strategic advice to telecom operators, CPaaS providers, and technology vendors regarding growth strategies, market positioning, and ecosystem development.
• Analyze both primary and secondary data to formulate data-driven perspectives on market trends.
• Collaborate with analysts specializing in enterprise communications services, network infrastructure, cloud, and AI.
• Establish and nurture relationships with analyst relations partners and technology vendor clients.
• Assist in consulting projects and custom research initiatives.
• Participate in and/or present at vendor, industry, and IDC events as a CPaaS subject matter expert.
• Provide written and social media coverage of CPaaS-related news, vendor developments, and market events.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree (e.g., MSc) is a plus, especially in telecommunications or a related technical field.
• 5–10 years of pertinent CPaaS experience, showcasing expertise in areas such as network APIs, conversational messaging, or related technologies.
• Understanding of the roles of GenAI and agentic AI in communications and customer engagement scenarios.
• Strong skills in both quantitative and qualitative research, including data modeling and market sizing.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of translating complex technical trends into clear, actionable insights for clients.
• Self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary (approximately 15–20%) for client meetings, vendor briefings, and industry events.
