This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and manage both qualitative and quantitative market research initiatives from start to finish.
• Act as the project manager, research expert, and main point of contact for clients.
• Organize projects, create timelines, coordinate resources, and oversee risk management.
• Work alongside sales and business development teams to evaluate feasibility and suggest research methods.
• Convert client business inquiries into effective research designs and analytical frameworks.
• Oversee programming, fielding, panel operations, and collaborate with other internal stakeholders.
• Track progress and address issues related to budget, timelines, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to market research, project management, quality, and data privacy regulations.
• Create and develop surveys, trackers, segmentation studies, concept tests, customer experience evaluations, market assessments, and bespoke research projects.
• Author and review questionnaires; conduct testing for survey programming and quality assurance prior to launch.
• Supervise fieldwork performance, incidence rates, quotas, and respondent quality.
• Analyze quantitative datasets utilizing descriptive and inferential statistics.
• Interpret crosstabulations, significance tests, segmentation analyses, and other results.
• Generate data visualizations and actionable business insights.
• Design qualitative methods, screeners, discussion guides, ethnographic protocols, and observation frameworks.
• Facilitate in-depth interviews, focus groups, cognitive interviews, and other qualitative research activities.
• Conduct ethnographic and observational research as necessary.
• Handle qualitative recruitment, scheduling, recordings, transcription, and logistical aspects of fieldwork.
• Execute thematic analysis, coding, text analytics, content analysis, and synthesis.
• Produce reports, presentations, slide decks, executive summaries, and client-facing materials.
• Deliver findings and recommendations to internal teams, external clients, and executive audiences.
• Mentor and nurture junior researchers.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, social sciences, market research, public health, healthcare, business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience managing custom market research projects.
• Proven track record of leading qualitative and quantitative market research projects from beginning to end.
• Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Advanced skills in survey design and questionnaire creation.
• Experienced in conducting and moderating qualitative interviews and discussion-based research.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to synthesize various data sources into actionable insights.
• Expertise in data visualization and storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong client-facing skills and presentation capabilities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data visualization software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior researchers.
• Proven skills in survey programming review and testing, quantitative data analysis, and data visualization and reporting.
• Experience presenting research findings and strategic recommendations to clients and executive audiences.
• Strong abilities in client management and stakeholder engagement.
• Preferred: prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Preferred: experience conducting market research in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical diagnostics, medical devices, healthcare services, or diagnostic imaging.
• Preferred: familiarity with survey programming platforms and qualitative analysis tools.
• Preferred: experience with advanced analytics, segmentation, text analytics, or multivariate analysis methods.
• Preferred: experience with ethnographic observation techniques.
• Willingness to travel domestically on occasion.
