Research Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support to Mercer Advisors’ Investment Management Group, which manages and implements investment solutions across billable AUM.

• Gather, analyze, and uphold asset class-level data and performance metrics, with a focus on equity and fixed income ETFs, mutual funds, and SMAs.

• Aid in the design and assessment of asset class investment frameworks, portfolios, and SMA strategies.

• Assist with both initial and ongoing due diligence of traditional, systematic, and quantitative investment managers and strategies.

• Develop, monitor, and enhance tools for performance attribution and risk management in collaboration with senior team members.

• Write, maintain, and update strategy memos that include due diligence questionnaires, manager engagement, and quantitative monitoring reports.

• Prepare materials and analyses for the Investment Committee and its sub-committees.

• Contribute to capital markets research and educational content for internal stakeholders.

• Support the documentation and maintenance of departmental investment policies and procedures.

• Assist with regulatory audits and reviews of internal documentation.

• Travel approximately 5–10% as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.

• 2–4 years of experience in investment research, portfolio analysis, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.

• Familiarity with statistical analysis and financial modeling techniques.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Experience with tools such as YCharts, FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar, or similar platforms is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid team setting.

• Progress towards CFA designation or an advanced degree is advantageous.
