This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead initiatives to ensure that informatics systems align with and enhance the objectives and mission of Emory University.
• Collaborate directly with faculty and staff to document, assess, and convert requirements into technical designs and informatics solutions.
• Utilize established software requirements and design methodologies to detail informatics solutions that support university-wide activities.
• Employ biomedical informatics technical standards, methodologies, and principles to meet program needs, objectives, and outcomes.
• Oversee related systems projects from a client business perspective.
• Supervise the ongoing delivery of information systems to the enterprise, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
• Undertake related responsibilities as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree along with five years of experience in information technology, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in a health, research, or academic institution.
• Familiarity with data and information systems standards pertinent to biomedical informatics and health systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Proficient SQL coding skills.
• Certification or proficiency in Epic Cogito (Clarity/Caboodle).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Epic electronic health record data; clinical data model experience preferred.
• Proficiency in R, Python, or DBT.
• Experience in an academic medical center or research environment.
• Knowledge of healthcare data governance and regulatory frameworks for research.
• Experience with the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM) and data mapping, including mapping source systems to OMOP standardized vocabularies.
• Experience with cloud analytics and data warehouse platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure/Data Fabric, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and version control (Git).
• Business hours may be required to align with Eastern Standard Time (EST).
• Primary work location must not be in New Jersey, Alaska, Hawaii, any U.S. Territories, or outside of the United States.
