Research Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Conceptualize, develop, and enhance multimodal AI models, AI-powered chatbots, and agent-based modeling frameworks.

• Create and sustain both front-end and back-end components of AI-enabled applications.

• Implement and manage AI solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud utilizing scalable architecture.

• Acquire and incorporate public health insights in areas like HIV prevention, STI prevention, nutrition counseling, and OUD treatment into AI-based solutions.

• Work in collaboration with public health specialists, data scientists, and researchers to refine AI models and enhance application efficacy.

• Keep abreast of advancements in AI technologies, including large language models, reinforcement learning, and agentic frameworks.

• Operate independently within departmental guidelines and escalate complex issues to the supervisor when further clarification is required.

• Mentor and supervise the activities of Research Assistants in the development of AI applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Python, JavaScript (React/Node.js), or other full-stack technologies relevant to AI and web applications.

• Practical experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, and AutoGen.

• In-depth understanding of API development, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud computing.

• Familiarity with frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.

• Experience in deploying AI applications on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience in modifying agent-based models in fields such as epidemiology or public health.

• Strong enthusiasm and capability to comprehend and integrate public health principles into AI-driven solutions.

• Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary research team and contribute to government-funded initiatives.

• Three to five years of experience in developing AI applications.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a closely related discipline (preferred qualification).
