Research Engineer 4/5 – Member Lifecycle and Monetization

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage impactful machine learning models.

• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, data scientists, and product managers to pinpoint valuable machine-learning opportunities.

• Convert business insights into data-driven solutions.

• Build scalable, production-ready machine learning solutions.

• Guide algorithms from initial concept to deployment within Netflix's extensive real-time systems.

• Enhance infrastructure for the development and deployment of machine learning models.

• Promote and implement best practices for availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.

• Innovate and manage growth and commerce algorithms in a production environment.

• Validate solutions through offline experimentation.

• Design online A/B tests for production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 4 years of full-time engineering experience.

• Proven experience with large-scale applications that utilize machine learning.

• Strong principles of software engineering and design expertise.

• Proficient in software design and development using Scala, Java, and Python.

• Familiarity with software engineering best practices, such as version control, testing, and code reviews.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts.

• A comprehensive understanding of core machine-learning principles and their application in large-scale, real-world environments.

• Experience with end-to-end machine-learning pipelines, including training and production deployment.

• Awareness of challenges such as explainability.

• Capability to work efficiently within large, cross-functional teams.
