Research Assistant Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and distribute relevant quantitative surveys while performing desk research to yield actionable insights for industry stakeholders.

• Gather, compile, analyze, and convert quantitative results into clear, business-friendly reports utilizing various methods and approaches.

• Contribute to the preparation of research reports and collaborate closely with graphic designers to produce infographics and visually engaging materials.

• Act as the primary support and contact for clients seeking information regarding research and consultancy products and services.

• Draft proposals for research and consultancy services aimed at potential clients.

• Assist in establishing and nurturing relationships within existing accounts.

• Utilize AI tools to expedite literature reviews, secondary research, and report writing while ensuring the accuracy and methodological integrity.

• Investigate and prototype lightweight AI-assisted tools, custom GPTs, prompt frameworks, or simple automation scripts to enhance recurring research tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; final-year students are encouraged to apply.

• Excellent command of both written and spoken English.

• Ability to effectively communicate research results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Basic knowledge of research methodologies and management, particularly in survey design and quantitative analysis.

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data collection, organization, and analysis.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity for literature reviews, secondary-data synthesis, and report writing.

• Critical thinking skills to assess AI outputs and uphold methodological rigor.

• Strong communication abilities and a collaborative spirit to work effectively in a team setting.

• Interest in the travel industry, especially in the Muslim-friendly travel sector, is advantageous.

• Experience with survey platforms like Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, and Typeform is a plus.

• Knowledge of quantitative research tools, data visualization software, infographic design, research summaries, academic papers, business reports, halal economy, Muslim consumer behavior, global travel and tourism trends, and AI-assisted tools is beneficial.

• Submission of a brief CV in PDF format is required.

• Availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM SGT (GMT+8).

• Internship duration: 4 months.
