PhD Research Fellow, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assess hybrid search and semantic retrieval methodologies

• Investigate the applications of GraphRAG within corporate settings

• Create a prototype for an experimental semantic MCP

• Establish mechanisms for grounding, traceability, and assessment of intelligent agent outputs

• Participate in an innovation initiative at the Itaú Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation in collaboration with Inova Talentos

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines

• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

• Knowledge of GraphRAG

• Acquainted with AI Agents

• Proficient in MCP

• Expertise in response assessment

• Understanding of grounding and AI safety principles

• Willingness to commit to a 40-hour work week

• Prior experience with GraphRAG is preferred

• Familiarity with intelligent-agent frameworks, MCP, generative AI evaluation, explainability, and Responsible AI is advantageous
