This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Collaborate closely with scientific researchers and analysts to execute mixed-methods research and evaluations that integrate both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
• Perform qualitative primary data collection through semi-structured interviews and typically virtual focus groups involving patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
• Code and analyze qualitative data utilizing MAXQDA, Dedoose, and NVivo software.
• Execute statistical analyses of survey, administrative, and secondary data, which includes descriptive and subgroup analyses as well as program-outcome comparisons, using R, Stata, or SAS.
• Design, implement, and analyze surveys.
• Create and maintain analytic datasets that link program records with external data sources for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
• Collect and synthesize health and healthcare information through environmental scans and literature reviews.
• Engage in stakeholder participation activities such as listening sessions.
• Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams alongside internal staff and external partners.
• Support or co-author reports, manuscripts, conference posters, and various research dissemination materials.
• Attend meetings, conference calls, and conferences as necessary.
• Contribute to research proposals as needed.
• Master’s degree in public health or a related discipline, such as medical anthropology, epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, public policy, social work, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional qualitative experience and/or relevant coursework.
• Proven experience conducting qualitative research and utilizing qualitative software like MAXQDA, Dedoose, or NVivo.
• Experience in statistical analysis and familiarity with statistical software, including R, Stata, or SAS.
• Proficient in developing and implementing surveys using survey software such as Qualtrics or Alchemer.
• Strong professional oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must have and maintain appropriate documentation for commercial airfare travel, such as Real ID, United States Passport, Passport Card, or another acceptable form of identification.
• Preferred: background in health research.
• Preferred: familiarity with federal and state health and healthcare agencies and programs.
• Preferred: experience in a healthcare environment.
• Preferred: fluency in Spanish.
• Preferred: proficiency in the responsible use of AI, such as Claude, for research activities.
• Remote work arrangement.
• Up to 5% domestic travel.
• 40 hours per week.
• Exempt status.
