This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Collaborate with consultants to develop, execute, and finalize search assignments.
• Offer informational support for initiatives aimed at new business development.
• Provide guidance to Search teams through research that enhances successful search results and placements.
• Assess the work history and educational background of potential candidates to evaluate their suitability.
• Identify candidates to be included in search records.
• Create strategies for candidate identification.
• Examine and interpret research data.
• Find and evaluate potential candidates.
• Retrieve and analyze relevant past searches.
• Utilize library and external resources to collect information on candidates, sources, and industry trends.
• Oversee research projects related to search assignments and business development.
• Track work efforts, develop project artifacts, implement communication plans, manage issues and risks, and report on progress.
• Identify target organizations and candidates through internal and external resources.
• Analyze profiles of organizations and candidates to prioritize targets.
• Serve as a power user of the WittKieffer database.
• Conduct research on individuals, organizations, and industry matters for business development and thought leadership.
• Collect compensation data for various job titles.
• Perform competitive analysis and keep an eye on trade publications for new business opportunities.
• Add and update information in the WittKieffer database.
• Coordinate search letters and advertisements in collaboration with Research Operations colleagues.
• Work alongside Associates and Senior Associates to support client outcomes.
• Develop and communicate research strategies for each search assignment.
• Assist other Research Analysts with overflow tasks.
• Participate in research staff meetings and share resources and search strategies.
• Initiate strategy start-up meetings with search teams.
• Collaborate with business partners to complete search assignments efficiently.
• Review trade publications and keep consultants updated on industry topics and changes.
• Propose enhancements to Research Strategy processes.
• Document research strategies and resources using departmental templates.
• Build and maintain networks of information sources.
• Contribute to the knowledge management repository and develop research tools.
• Engage in efforts aimed at improving the Research Strategy process.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in executive search or a similar research function within professional services is preferred.
• Strong project management capabilities are essential.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills are necessary.
• Demonstrated success in creative problem-solving is required.
• Ability to clearly and concisely present and communicate information to diverse audiences.
• Comfort with using reference materials, databases, social media, online services, and internet research tools.
• Advanced computer skills are mandatory.
• Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and customer service skills are necessary.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Capacity to interact professionally with a diverse group of individuals.
• Knowledge of the healthcare, higher education, or not-for-profit sectors is a plus.
