Measurement Research Associate – Psychometrician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the design, development, and upkeep of large-scale licensure and certification assessments.

• Collaborate with licensure and certification clients to identify testing program requirements and anticipated outcomes.

• Assess how DRC's psychometric solutions align with clients' program needs.

• Ensure that psychometric practices are consistently implemented and documented in accordance with industry standards.

• Guarantee that quality assurance criteria, project timelines, and deadlines are adhered to.

• Manage client relationships and scopes of work throughout the phases of assessment development.

• Conduct or oversee item and test analyses, test equating, standard setting, score reporting, and technical documentation.

• Partner with clients on reliability and validity studies, along with other psychometric endeavors.

• Facilitate discussions with subject matter experts and examination committees.

• Represent DRC at industry events and prepare as well as deliver presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Support the development of licensure and certification psychometric content for RFP submissions.

• Contribute to the DRC licensure and certification team.

• Assist with additional special projects or teams as required.

• No direct reports.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s Degree is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in the psychometric, measurement, analytics, or high-stakes testing sectors is required.

• A Ph.D. in educational measurement, psychological measurement, evaluation, assessment, or a related field with a focus on psychometrics is preferred.

• Experience in developing and scoring examinations for certification in the healthcare sector is preferred.

• Experience in managing client relationships for large-scale assessments.

• Previous experience in conducting standard settings.

• Previous experience in conducting job analyses.

• Experience with complex data structures, including manipulation and summarization of large data sets.

• A working knowledge of statistical theory, particularly in Rasch models, many-facet Rasch, research methodologies, and applied measurement.

• Demonstrated ability to lead both internal and external teams as well as manage complex projects.

• Proven capability to operate successfully at both strategic and tactical levels.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills along with strong relationship-building abilities.

• Ability to distill complex information and convey it to diverse audiences.

• Familiarity with and demonstrated use of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, Winsteps, or other IRT software) is required.

• Proven interpersonal skills and capability to interact effectively with staff across all organizational levels.

• Consistent attendance when scheduled.

• Ability to work under supervision and accept constructive feedback.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work respectfully within diverse teams.

• Capacity to perform well under increased workload.

• Ability to set and achieve deadlines.

• Capability to manage multiple job functions concurrently.

• Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours.

• Ability to use a computer monitor, keyboard, and/or mouse for up to 8 hours daily.

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as necessary.
