This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee the territory encompassing Western NY, Upstate NY, Southern CT, and adjacent markets, excluding NYC.
• Formulate and implement a thorough, data-informed strategy for the territory.
• Recognize market opportunities, whitespace, and avenues for growth.
• Take responsibility for territory performance, revenue goals, pipeline health, and forecast precision.
• Generate, qualify, and advance new business prospects.
• Establish and sustain a solid, well-rounded sales pipeline.
• Compete effectively to secure new business and displace existing competitors.
• Develop and nurture multi-level customer relationships.
• Create account plans that identify growth prospects and key decision-makers.
• Provide consultative, insight-driven customer engagement.
• Position integrated solutions across instruments, consumables, services, and software.
• Convert technical and scientific requirements into business value and commercial results.
• Lead the opportunity strategy from qualification to closure.
• Manage intricate sales cycles and negotiate commercial results.
• Collaborate with Technical Sales Specialists, Application Scientists, Service, Marketing, and Strategic Accounts.
• Offer market and competitive insights to enhance commercial strategy and business planning.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a related field is required.
• A proven history of meeting or surpassing revenue targets.
• Experience in managing customer relationships and driving territory growth.
• Capability to handle multiple complex opportunities simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory.
• Preferred experience in life sciences, biotechnology, diagnostics, healthcare, or allied sectors.
• 3-5+ years of sales or commercial experience is preferred.
• Experience with capital equipment and/or solution-based selling is preferred.
• Familiarity with flow cytometry and laboratory settings is preferred.
• Experience engaging both technical and executive-level stakeholders is preferred.
• Proficiency in CRM platforms, such as Salesforce, and business analytics tools is preferred.
• Travel requirement of up to approximately 50-60% within the assigned territory.
• Must reside within the assigned commercial territory, generally defined as within New York.
