Requirements Traceability Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage comprehensive requirements traceability across Strategic Themes, Epics, Capabilities, Features, Stories, ITFRs, and Program/IMS Milestones.

• Oversee traceability within Jira while transitioning to ServiceNow as the program moves to a new platform.

• Establish and uphold traceability standards, necessary relationships, fields, and expectations for data quality.

• Facilitate the creation, breakdown, alignment, refinement, and ongoing maintenance of Epics, Capabilities, and Features.

• Standardize Epics, Capabilities, and Features, covering structure, required information, naming conventions, relationships, and criteria for readiness.

• Ensure bidirectional traceability between Features, Epics/Capabilities, and Stories.

• Link ITFRs and Program/IMS Milestones to the appropriate Features.

• Conduct regular traceability and data quality reviews, addressing orphaned, missing, duplicate, or incorrectly linked work items.

• Develop and sustain dashboards, reports, and metrics to monitor traceability completeness and data quality.

• Assist with Portfolio and ART Backlog Refinement, PI Planning, Portfolio Syncs, and governance activities.

• Collaborate with LPM, Product Management, RTEs, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and other stakeholders.

• Offer guidance and training on backlog hierarchy, traceability standards, and the use of Jira/ServiceNow.

• Aid in the Jira-to-ServiceNow migration through data mapping, validation of relationships, reconciliation, and verification.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background investigation.

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) required.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• At least three (3+) years of experience in technical writing for software development projects.

• Familiarity with SAFe or Agile methodologies is preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint.

• Minimum required clearance to start: Secret.

• Willingness to travel locally up to 10%.
