Reporting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain impactful Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.

• Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Transform complex datasets into clear and engaging narratives for senior stakeholders.

• Oversee Tableau content by managing certified data sources, design standards, and access permissions.

• Advocate for best practices in data visualization and storytelling utilizing Tableau and Power BI.

• Design and maintain semantic models and curated datasets.

• Promote data governance standards and ensure compliance within the data team.

• Identify and address data quality issues.

• Suggest and implement enhancements to analytical workflows and processes.

• Automate recurring reports.

• Keep abreast of emerging trends in analytics, BI platforms, and data technologies.

• Assist business users in adopting Tableau through coaching and workshops.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill data needs and enhance data literacy.

• Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to enable evidence-based decision-making.

• Travel occasionally to offices in New Milton and Norwich.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a data analyst or related analytical position.

• Demonstrated ability to create dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Tableau.

• Proficient in interpreting complex datasets and conveying insights to non-technical audiences.

• Experience with relational databases and crafting advanced SQL queries.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data environments such as Azure Synapse, Data Lake, AWS, or BigQuery.

• Experience in automating reporting or analytics workflows using tools like Power Automate, Python, etc.

• Knowledge of embedded analytics is advantageous.

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification required.

• Knowledge of Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or DP-900 is a plus.

• Advanced SQL skills and a strong understanding of data modeling concepts.

• Expertise in data visualization and storytelling for business audiences.

• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and reporting best practices.

• Familiarity with Python, R, or DAX; ETL processes; Dynamics 365; Git or Azure DevOps is a bonus.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with ownership of outcomes.

• Excellent communication skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset with a curiosity and passion for leveraging data to drive change.

• Proactive in identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.

• Remote work must be within the UK.

• Available to work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:00.
