This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Regularly propose innovative and engaging story ideas

• Cultivate sources to uncover news and create exclusive content

• Write concisely and adhere to deadlines

• Collaborate with team members across the department and the broader newsroom to brainstorm story concepts and identify the most effective storytelling methods

• Explore beyond conventional storytelling approaches

• Engage in Globe subscriber events

• Collaborate with reporters in bureaus nationwide on business, political, and national news stories

• Create clear and impactful original articles and develop high-quality coverage

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of five years of reporting experience for a news organization

• Passion and experience in covering politics and business

• Ability to narrate stories in Saskatchewan that resonate beyond provincial borders

• Exceptional writing skills across a versatile range, from hard news to human-interest features and explanatory pieces

• Excellent news judgment with a proven history of enterprise reporting

• Proficient in various formats, including live blogs, newsletters, video, and audio

• Must reside in Regina

• Willingness to travel frequently for assignments

• Submission of a cover letter including three links to prior work along with a resume authored by the applicant
