This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Regularly propose innovative and engaging story concepts
• Cultivate sources to uncover news and create exclusive reports
• Write with clarity and adhere to deadlines
• Collaborate with team members throughout the department and the broader newsroom to generate story ideas and identify the most effective storytelling methods
• Partner with reporters in bureaus nationwide on business, political, and national news coverage
• Narrate stories about Saskatchewan that have broader national significance
• Explore storytelling approaches beyond traditional formats
• Engage in events for Globe subscribers
• Minimum of five years of experience in reporting for a news organization
• Passion and experience in covering politics and business
• A talent for storytelling in Saskatchewan that resonates beyond provincial borders
• Proficient writing skills with a diverse range, from hard news to human-interest features to explanatory pieces
• Strong news judgment demonstrated by a history of enterprise work
• Comfortable working across various formats, including live blogs, newsletters, video, and audio
• Must reside in Regina
• Willingness to travel frequently for assignments
• A cover letter containing three links to previous work along with a resume is required
