REO Asset Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a substantial portfolio of residential REO assets across various markets nationwide.

• Formulate and implement disposition strategies aimed at maximizing investor returns while achieving client performance goals.

• Track portfolio performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), timelines, and operational benchmarks.

• Evaluate market conditions, inventory trends, property performance, and buyer demand to refine pricing and sales strategies.

• Generate reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for clients and leadership.

• Assess opportunities to enhance net recovery through repairs, renovations, occupancy tactics, and focused marketing efforts.

• Review and authorize property budgets, vendor suggestions, preservation expenses, and capital improvement proposals.

• Collaborate with property management, field services, and vendor networks to sustain and optimize assets for sale.

• Identify and address asset-related risks, compliance concerns, operational obstacles, and process enhancements.

• Supervise the disposition process from pre-listing to closing, ensuring timely execution and adherence to compliance.

• Decide on marketing channels, including MLS listings, online auctions, and bulk sales.

• Assess offers, negotiate contract terms, secure necessary approvals, and facilitate transaction closings.

• Work alongside sales, marketing, and product teams to boost asset visibility and engage potential buyers.

• Review BPOs, appraisals, comparative market analyses, and valuation reports.

• Perform financial and market analyses for strategic recommendations and portfolio planning.

• Counsel investors, clients, servicing partners, brokers, and buyers throughout the asset lifecycle.

• Maintain communication about portfolio performance, asset strategy, market conditions, and transaction progress.

• Assist in client meetings, portfolio evaluations, and business development initiatives.

• Keep precise asset records and transaction activities in Equator and other asset management platforms.

• Ensure adherence to investor guidelines, regulations, company policies, and procedures.

• Monitor foreclosure timelines, title issues, and transaction milestones.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in REO asset management, default servicing, real estate disposition, or related real estate operations.

• Experience in managing institutional or large-scale residential real estate portfolios.

• Proven track record in negotiating real estate transactions and managing assets through to disposition.

• In-depth knowledge of foreclosure, REO, loss mitigation, title, escrow, and residential real estate transaction processes.

• Familiarity with HUD, FHA, VA, GSE, and investor servicing requirements.

• Understanding of real estate auction platforms and disposition strategies, including online auction sales.

• Strong analytical skills capable of interpreting market trends, property valuations, and financial data.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Equator, and other real estate asset management systems.

• Experience with Hubzu, RES.NET, Equator, or similar REO disposition platforms.

• Background in managing bulk sales, portfolio sales, or institutional investor relationships.

• Knowledge of property preservation, field services, and vendor management practices.
