This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the inventory of repossessed vehicles and manage relationships with auction vendors.
• Act as the main point of contact for vehicle assessment, reconditioning, preparation for sale, valuation, and sales decisions.
• Enhance net recovery through effective management of auction vendors and vehicle inventory.
• Ensure timely, efficient, and compliant preparation and sale of repossessed inventory.
• Monitor vendor performance and provide necessary corrective actions or recommendations.
• Handle regional inventory, including transport status, certification inspections, vehicle grading, reconditioning estimates, sale preparation, and bid approvals.
• Conduct on-site evaluations of auction procedures, inventory preparation, and sale performance.
• Arrange vendor status meetings, review performance scorecards and reports, and coordinate follow-ups on any performance issues.
• Negotiate arbitration claims with guidance from senior management.
• Identify and capitalize on market arbitrage opportunities.
• Review and audit auction expenses and announcements.
• Maintain and report travel-related expenses in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with auction management, staff, the Remarketing Department, and other internal teams.
• Navigate multiple databases and make decisions across a wide range of responsibilities.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant automotive/remarketing experience is required.
• Proficiency in vehicle valuation, reconditioning assessment, and wholesale remarketing channels.
• Understanding of macro and regional social/economic trends, seasonality, and key automotive trends related to used vehicle pricing.
• Capability to work independently under time constraints and manage competing deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptability to job functions and the ability to embrace procedural changes.
• Proficient in PC usage and able to work with various platforms.
• Familiarity with NAAA auction policies is highly desirable.
• Experience in frame assessments or condition report writing is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent college experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Daybreak, AutoIMS, RDN, Manheim Market Report, and CSAToday is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to navigate web applications and use web-based tools.
• Competence in using personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and general office equipment.
