Relief Camp Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the camp, ensuring efficient service delivery.

• Manage the initiation, closure, maintenance, and overall facility management of the camp.

• Supervise inventory management, purchasing processes, incoming deliveries, and supply levels.

• Ensure accuracy in camp occupancy records and staffing requirements.

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.

• Handle timesheets, incident documentation, performance assessments, and employee records.

• Monitor budgets, camp expenditures, procurement, and inventory controls effectively.

• Maintain precise operational and financial documentation.

• Lead the housekeeping, kitchen, catering, and maintenance teams.

• Provide training, coaching, and support to camp personnel.

• Conduct performance evaluations and address any workplace challenges.

• Foster teamwork and promote a culture of respect in the workplace.

• Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and governmental regulations.

• Organize safety meetings and keep accurate safety records.

• Investigate incidents and complete necessary documentation promptly.

• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation regulations.

• Check guest lists for room transition; report any modifications and cleaned items.

• Ensure that accommodations, laundry services, and communal areas align with company standards.

• Quickly respond to client and guest inquiries.

• Provide exceptional customer service in a remote camp setting.

• Work scheduled shifts on-site at the remote camp, typically lasting 10–12 hours per day over consecutive days.

• Engage in physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing, while utilizing uniforms/PPE as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a related field, ideally within camp accommodation and catering.

• A minimum of 3 years in a managerial position.

• Completion of basic First Aid, both basic and advanced Food Safe training, WHMIS, HCCAP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), Travel Restraint, Transport of Dangerous Goods, Accident Investigation, and Health and Safety Training.

• Familiarity with Camp Manager Database software and retail Point of Sale systems.

• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.

• Strong decision-making capabilities and skills in delegation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Collaborative team player capable of providing support, motivation, and encouragement to colleagues.

• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback from clients and LandSea personnel.

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and clearance.

• Clearance from a Criminal Record Check.

• Submission of a Health Questionnaire.

• Possession of valid government-issued ID for travel, if required.

• Completion of LandSea and site-specific orientation and health and safety clearance.
