This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate comprehensive release management from initiation to deployment, including planning, scheduling, coordination, and implementation across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Oversee and carry out change management processes, ensuring that modifications to the operational baseline are reviewed, approved, and properly documented.
• Manage release schedules and coordinate deployment activities with cross-functional teams, business priorities, and system availability timelines.
• Supervise the execution of deployments, validation processes, post-deployment checks, and rollback strategies.
• Ensure that configuration, schema, code, and data modifications are version-controlled, documented, and consistently synchronized across different environments.
• Align release activities with Agile sprint cycles, epics, features, and the Integrated Project Schedule.
• Conduct release readiness reviews and organize relevant meetings.
• Monitor and communicate release status, risks, issues, and dependencies to leadership.
• Ensure adherence to VA's configuration management processes and standards.
• Collaborate with various teams on the integration and deployment of system components.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements to boost release efficiency, quality, and predictability.
• Assist in release-related incident management, conducting root cause analyses, and implementing corrective measures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in release management within a complex enterprise setting.
• Experience in managing releases for ERP systems, ideally Momentum or comparable federal financial systems.
• Strong grasp of change management and configuration management procedures in a federal context.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple concurrent releases and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and government stakeholders.
• Preferred experience in supporting VA systems, Momentum Financials, or federal financial management environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Agility, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Experience working in Agile settings and coordinating with Scrum teams is preferred.
