This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
β’ Oversee commercial loan relationships that vary in complexity.
β’ Guide and support CRE Relationship Managers in negotiating and structuring transactions.
β’ Cultivate new business opportunities and relationships with companies, sponsors, developers, and enterprises.
β’ Drive deal flow and implement a collaborative approach to relationship management.
β’ Facilitate teamwork with product specialists, portfolio managers, and operational support experts.
β’ Supervise the origination, negotiation, structuring, pricing, underwriting, and closing processes of loans.
β’ Assess portfolio quality and ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
β’ Build and sustain relationships to foster direct deal flow.
β’ Manage the approval and closing processes of new deals to enhance assets and revenues while maximizing profitability.
β’ Provide orientation, mentorship, training, and assistance to Relationship Managers.
β’ Lead the resolution of escalated issues and offer support for complex or high-risk deals.
β’ Oversee team workload and ensure production quality.
β’ Engage with sponsors and borrowers to brainstorm and explore opportunities for relationship expansion.
β’ Collaborate with management to formulate action plans and achieve organizational goals.
β’ Track production and revenue while forecasting results for management review.
β’ Monitor portfolio credit quality through financial statement collection and compliance reporting.
β’ Manage the bank's risk exposure to acceptable limits.
β’ Stay informed on industry trends and market conditions impacting assigned relationships and borrowers.
β’ Exercise independent judgment and discretion in decision-making.
β’ Analyze and resolve issues effectively.
β’ Carry out talent management responsibilities, including hiring, performance evaluations, staff development, disciplinary measures, and succession planning.
β’ Undertake special projects and additional duties as necessary.
β’ Complete mandatory compliance training and uphold adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
β’ Bachelor's Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance, or a related discipline.
β’ 15+ years of experience in commercial lending.
β’ 5+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Lending Relationship Management and/or commercial lending sales.
β’ In-depth knowledge of commercial lending credit, underwriting, and loan structuring.
β’ Advanced analytical skills for financial and cash flow assessments.
β’ Highly developed negotiation capabilities.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing demands and deadlines.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
β’ Capability to mentor and lead a team effectively.
β’ Ability to establish and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
β’ Some travel may be necessary.
