Registered Nurse, General Ambulatory Services, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through telephone triage and clinical evaluations.

• Execute telephone triage utilizing established protocols and sound nursing judgment.

• Evaluate symptoms, prioritize patient requirements, and identify appropriate care or follow-up actions.

• Offer patient education, support, and reassurance.

• Record patient interactions in Epic EMR in real-time.

• Elevate urgent or emergency situations in accordance with clinic and organizational policies.

• Liaise with on-call providers, clinic teams, and patients to ensure seamless continuity of care.

• Contribute to safety, quality, and patient satisfaction within the triage team.

• Employ the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate personalized care.

• Monitor patient conditions and adjust or escalate the care plan as needed.

• Advocate for patients, promoting autonomy, informed consent, and self-determination.

• Engage in practice governance, research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practices.

• Manage interpersonal relationships and mentor peers.

• Appropriately delegate care and prioritize tasks to enhance patient outcomes.

• Communicate effectively across various practice formats and collaborate with others to drive positive change.

• Mentor nursing students, nurse externs, nurse residents, clinical nurses, and healthcare team members.

• Perform additional duties as necessary or assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license.

• Eligibility for multi-state compact license required.

• A minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience, particularly in triage, ER, Med-Surg, and/or Primary Care.

• Proficient in Epic EMR and remote communication technologies.

• Exceptional assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.

• Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills.

• Self-motivated and adept at working independently in a remote setting.

• Reliable internet connection and a secure, HIPAA-compliant workspace devoid of distractions.

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program is mandatory.

• Licensed Registered Nurse eligible in NH.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required upon hire.

• BSN is preferred.

• Previous experience in remote triage, nurse advice lines, or outpatient/clinic environments preferred.
