Registered Nurse, General Ambulatory Services, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct telephone triage utilizing established protocols and sound nursing judgment

• Evaluate symptoms, prioritize patient needs, and ascertain appropriate care or follow-up

• Offer patient education, guidance, and reassurance

• Record all patient interactions in Epic EMR in real time

• Escalate urgent or emergency situations in line with clinic and organizational policies

• Communicate with on-call providers, clinic teams, and patients to ensure continuity of care

• Contribute to safety, quality, and patient satisfaction within the triage team

• Employ the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans

• Monitor patient status and adjust or escalate care as needed

• Advocate for patients while maintaining their autonomy, informed consent, and self-determination

• Manage relationships, mentor colleagues, and delegate care appropriately

• Prioritize and organize time effectively to enhance patient outcomes

• Incorporate current evidence and standards into daily practice

• Participate in research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice

• Communicate effectively across various practice formats and collaborate to achieve positive outcomes

• Precept nursing students, residents, and healthcare team members

• Perform additional duties as required or assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license

• Multi-state compact eligibility/license is required

• Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience with a solid background in triage, ER, Med-Surg, and/or Primary Care

• Proficiency in Epic EMR and remote communication systems

• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

• Strong abilities in communication, documentation, and time management

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote setting

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program is required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate is required upon hire

• Reliable internet connection and a secure HIPAA-compliant workspace free from distractions

• Licensed Registered Nurse with NH eligibility

• Associate degree is required; BSN is preferred

• Previous experience in remote triage, nurse advice lines, or outpatient/clinic environments is preferred
