Registered Nurse, ACCESS Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate patients entering the ACCESS program by utilizing integrated lab data to detect any missing baseline tests, confirm clinical indications, diagnosis codes, and the elapsed time in relation to standing orders for eCKM and CKM tracks.

• Release standing lab orders in the EHR under the authority of the Regional ACCESS Director.

• Document medical necessity and ordering intent to comply with Medicare clinical laboratory billing standards.

• Manage daily order queues with efficiency, accuracy, and high clinical precision to meet turnaround targets and avoid enrollment delays.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on lab ordering processes and workflows.

• Offer clinical expertise to aid the interdisciplinary care team.

• Identify friction points, error-prone procedures, and automation possibilities to enhance initial operations.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to test workflows, address clinical obstacles, and promote operational enhancements.

• Expand into patient and provider outreach through the Five9 telephony platform as the program evolves.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing institution.

• At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience.

• Active, unrestricted multistate Registered Nurse license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

• Willingness to secure additional individual state licenses as program needs grow: California, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, and Oregon.

• Experience with protocol-driven or standing-order tasks.

• Demonstrated reliability in high-volume, repetitive, and detail-oriented work.

• Capability to review and synthesize patient records, confirm lab history, and identify pending diagnostic requirements.

• Familiarity with common laboratory panels and their clinical indications, including lipid panels, HbA1c, eGFR, and uACR.

• Proficient in electronic health records (EHRs) and order entry processes.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation for compliance and billing accuracy.

• Ability to adapt and show resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and engaging with a computer.

• Ability to maintain sustained attention and focus during high-volume clinical chart evaluations.
