This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Conduct long-term surveillance of adult and pediatric patients utilizing closed-circuit and digital audio/visual technology along with electrophysiological recording devices.

• Share patient history, progress, EEG and video information, and radiological studies during daily patient rounds with attending physicians.

• Detail current seizure activity and its frequency.

• Provide a list of current medications and outcomes from prior investigations.

• Outline examinations conducted upon admission to monitoring units.

• Analyze and categorize ictal and interictal EEG/video data.

• Compose final reports and comprehensive descriptions of EEG patterns, seizure semiology, radiological findings, mapped irregularities, and representative EEG samples.

• Train new personnel on procedures for testing and caring for long-term monitoring patients.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.

• Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG.T) certification.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• A minimum of two years of recent technical experience in epilepsy long-term monitoring, routine EEG lab, with exposure to long-term monitoring using Bedside Monitoring systems, or a combination of similar experiences.

• Preferred experience in technology/computer operations.

• Manual dexterity to accurately place electrodes and operate recording devices.

• Capability to assist in positioning and transporting patients, including pushing beds, carts, and wheelchairs.

• Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds.

• Risk of exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.

• Adherence to standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment as necessary.

• Compliance with annual influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption.

• Successful completion of controlled-substance testing following the employment offer.
