This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Participate in regular video sessions to review product plans, designs, and preliminary builds.
• Provide insights to the product team based on practical experience in domiciliary care operations.
• Detect workflow issues related to rotas, care plans, medication records, and audit trails.
• Clarify everyday practices such as rostering, ECM/call monitoring, care planning, reviews, CQC evidence and notifications, safeguarding, commissioning, and reporting.
• Validate product priorities and highlight features that would effectively save managers time.
• Respond to occasional ad hoc inquiries via email or WhatsApp.
• Current or recent experience as a CQC Registered Manager in domiciliary/home care within England, held currently or within approximately the last 6 months.
• Successfully managed a service through at least one CQC inspection, ideally achieving a Good or Outstanding rating under the candidate’s management.
• Practical experience with local authority and/or ICB-commissioned care, covering frameworks, spot and block contracts, and ECM/call monitoring.
• Familiarity with Care Management Software such as Birdie, CarePlanner, or OneTouch.
• Strong opinions, direct communication style, and comfort in challenging a product team.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care or equivalent (desirable).
• Experience in growing a service, mobilizing new contracts, or operating across multiple locations (desirable).
• Experience in selecting or implementing care management software as a buyer/user (desirable).
• Participation in a Skills for Care registered manager network or local care association (desirable).
• Ability to commit 2–4 hours per week initially, with flexible scheduling options.
• Self-employed consultancy agreement; candidate will invoice the company.
• A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is required.
