This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Perform thorough nutrition assessments through virtual or telehealth consultations.
• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic illnesses.
• Create personalized nutrition care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change methodologies.
• Enhance patient engagement through effective communication practices.
• Address clinical concerns appropriately by escalating them as needed.
• Work in collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.
• Engage in care planning and participate in case reviews when necessary.
• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Effectively utilize telehealth and patient engagement technologies.
• Contribute to the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations as opportunities present themselves.
• Valid RD/RDN credential in good standing.
• Current LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the states of practice.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related discipline.
• Required clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or MNT.
• Preferred experience in managing obesity, chronic conditions, and telehealth services.
• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
• Access to reliable internet connectivity.
• Possess a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
• Commitment to maintaining licensure standards and HIPAA compliance.
• Fully remote working arrangement.
