This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Become a part of a multidisciplinary obesity medicine team offering virtual care to Medicare and Medicaid patients.
• Perform thorough nutrition assessments through virtual or telehealth consultations.
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) focused on obesity and associated chronic conditions.
• Create customized nutrition care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Offer nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing techniques and behavior-change strategies.
• Enhance patient engagement through effective communication.
• Address clinical concerns appropriately by escalating them when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.
• Engage in care planning and participate in case reviews as required.
• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools effectively.
• Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing.
• Current Licensed Dietitian (LD/LDN) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CD/CDN) license in the states of practice.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is required.
• Experience in obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth is preferred.
• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with EHRs and telehealth platforms.
• Access to reliable internet.
• Maintain a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
• Ability to uphold licensure standards, HIPAA compliance, and necessary training or professional development.
• Fully remote work environment.
• Flexible scheduling (20-40 hours per week).
• No evening or weekend shifts required.
