This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth consultations.
• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic illnesses.
• Create personalized nutrition care strategies.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change methodologies.
• Enhance patient involvement through effective communication and appropriately escalate clinical issues.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.
• Engage in care planning and case reviews as necessary.
• Record encounters, evaluations, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Efficiently use telehealth and patient engagement technologies.
• Take part in clinical program development, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations as opportunities present themselves.
• Valid RD/RDN credential in good standing.
• Active LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in applicable state(s) of practice.
• Bachelor’s or master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in clinical or ambulatory settings providing nutrition counseling or MNT (required).
• Background in obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred).
• Excellent patient-centered counseling and documentation abilities.
• Comfortable collaborating within interdisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
• Access to reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
• Capability to uphold licensure standards and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Fully remote work environment.
