Registered Dietitian, Obesity & Weight Management – PT or FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth appointments

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions

• Create personalized nutrition care plans

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change techniques

• Enhance patient engagement through effective communication

• Address clinical issues as necessary

• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators

• Engage in care planning and case reviews as required

• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR)

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement technologies efficiently

• Contribute to the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations as opportunities arise

⛳️ Requirements

• Current RD/RDN credential in good standing

• Valid LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the state(s) of practice

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or MNT (mandatory)

• Experience with obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred)

• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation

• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams

• Proficiency with EHRs and telehealth platforms

• Reliable internet connection and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace

• Adhere to licensure standards and HIPAA regulations
