Registered Dietitian, Obesity & Weight Management, PT or FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough nutrition evaluations through virtual or telehealth sessions

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions

• Create personalized nutrition care strategies

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change techniques

• Enhance patient involvement through effective communication and address clinical issues as necessary

• Work in collaboration with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators

• Engage in care planning and case reviews as required

• Record encounters, evaluations, and care strategies in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

• Effectively utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools

• Potentially assist in the development of clinical programs, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential in good standing

• Active Licensed Dietitian (LD) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) or Certified Dietitian (CD) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) license in states of practice

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or MNT (required)

• Familiarity with obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred)

• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation

• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams

• Proficient with EHRs and telehealth platforms

• Access to reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace

• Ability to uphold licensure standards and ensure HIPAA compliance
