This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Become a member of a multidisciplinary obesity medicine team delivering virtual care to Medicare and Medicaid patients.

• Perform thorough nutrition assessments through virtual/telehealth consultations.

• Offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and associated chronic conditions.

• Create personalized nutrition care plans.

• Provide nutrition education and counseling utilizing motivational interviewing and behavior-change strategies.

• Foster patient engagement through effective communication.

• Address clinical concerns as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, health coaches, and care coordinators.

• Engage in care planning and case reviews as required.

• Record encounters, assessments, and care plans within the EHR.

• Utilize telehealth and patient engagement tools efficiently.

• Assist in the development of clinical programs, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary care innovations as the organization expands.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active RD/RDN credential in good standing.

• Valid LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in the state(s) of practice.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related discipline.

• Clinical or ambulatory experience in providing nutrition counseling or MNT (required).

• Experience with obesity, weight management, chronic conditions, and telehealth (preferred).

• Strong skills in patient-centered counseling and documentation.

• Ability to work comfortably within interdisciplinary teams.

• Proficiency with EHRs and telehealth platforms.

• Access to reliable internet.

• A private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.

• Capability to uphold licensure standards and maintain HIPAA compliance.
